 We
choose Single Super Phosphate (SSP) and Edible Oils as our Industries
few years back and today again we stand committed to the development of
Agriculture, which is the backbone of our economy. We strongly believe
that the way to improve our Country's economy is to boost agricultural
productivity. Agriculture forms 25.6% of India's GDP while 60% of our
population is dependent on agriculture. However, our productivity's are
way below the Asian and the World averages.
The solution lies in, increase of irrigation facilities (only 42% of arable land is irrigated) and increase in fertilizer production. We at KCFL have done our mite; Our SSP (Single Super Phosphate) capacity which was 66,000 TPA at one location has been increased steadily with expansions and acquisitions to 847,500 TPA and at four different locations in the states of M.P.,U.P. & Rajasthan. Similarly the Sulfuric Acid capacities have been increased from 33,000 to 221,100 TPA. The government's overall policy on Fertilizer though, is directed to increase consumption of phosphates in the next few years, but being an important sector of the economy has been subject to frequent reviews. We have however ingrained in our mind and work that, "We
cannot direct the wind…. And
our team has accordingly been able to successfully remain amongst front
runners of the SSP and Soya Oil industries.
